The windbreak corridors that now surround the house didn't happen on their own: they were planted and planned, row by row, over years. Native and introduced species chosen with intention, not by chance — each contributing something different to the multifloral pasture that sustains the Fundo's agroforestry system. Seen that way, even the quiet of dusk is, in part, the result of a decision made a long time ago.
